We’ve been shortlisted: NACFB Commercial Lender Awards!

Let’s Do Business Finance has been shortlisted for Community Lender of the Year and Business Loan Lender of the Year, recognising its commitment to supporting businesses and building strong relationships across the commercial finance sector.

Let’s Do Business Finance is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s NACFB Commercial Lender Awards: Community Lender of the Year and Business Loan Lender of the Year!

Organised by the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB), the awards recognise lenders and businesses making strides in the commercial finance industry. Being shortlisted in two categories is an important milestone for the Let’s Do Business Finance team - and an opportunity to celebrate the work that goes into helping businesses access the finance they need.

Shining a light on our impact

The Community Lender of the Year category celebrates lenders that put social impact, responsible lending and communities at the heart of their organisation, and to be shortlisted is a really proud moment for our team.

With our entry, we spoke about how as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), our success is in the communities we support and the businesses we serve. Creating local jobs, reviving the high street and backing the innovation of aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses is integral to us as an organisation, and our mission goes far beyond simply providing funding.

As an organisation, Let’s Do Business Finance has grown substantially in terms of both lending volume and value since the COVID19 pandemic – scaling our community impact whilst maintaining our core values. Being acknowledged by the NACFB alongside some major names in the responsible lending and community sector means a lot to our team, showing the value in our approach of relationship-based lending and the importance of making finance more accessible to small businesses.

Shortlisted for Business Loan Lender of the Year

Let’s Do Business Finance has also been shortlisted for Business Loan Lender of the Year, recognising our growth in SME and responsible lending.

As an accredited lender of the Growth Guarantee Scheme and Community ENABLE Funding from the British Business Bank, our business loans often mean more than just funding – they’re often providing access to finance and growth that might have been difficult to obtain elsewhere, for businesses underserved by traditional financial models and high street banks.

Our space in the SME lending market doesn’t compete with the huge names – we complement them. Where high street banks and other lenders can’t, we can often support businesses that don’t fit the traditional criteria and check boxes with our relationship-based and human approach to our lending applications and decisions. We get to know the businesses, their goals and plans, the people behind it, and can see the potential where computer algorithms sometimes can’t.

A thank you to our industry partners

“We’re really pleased to have been shortlisted this year. It’s particularly meaningful to be recognised in these two categories, because they reflect the importance we place on supporting businesses and building strong relationships across the industry.

“Behind every funding enquiry is a business with its own plans, challenges and ambitions. Being able to play a part in helping those businesses move forward is what makes our work worthwhile.

“We’d like to thank the NACFB for the recognition, as well as the brokers, introducers and businesses who work with us and put their trust in our team. It means a great deal to everyone here.” – Sean Dennis, Managing Director of Let’s Do Business Finance
