Honey Corn

Pioneers in organic and eco-friendly beauty products, Honey Corn, have teamed up with airline amenities provider Spiriant, to introduce their luxury, artisan skincare kits to the skies.

The ethical beauty brand was born out of the desire to create pure, organic skincare with a modern-day sensibility.

High-quality, plant-based ingredients ring true to Honey Corn’s philosophy - Botanic, Organic, Natural. Otherwise known as 'liquid gold' thanks to its renowned curative properties, the lifeblood of their skincare range is honey, produced by one of the world's most vital species.

Three years ago in Notting Hill, London, the high flying start-up was founded by Ayesha Ibrahim. Having worked in the luxury brand market for 18 years, Ayesha was able to bring her wealth of experience in the beauty industry to the Honey Corn brand.

With support from Let Do Business Finance, Ayesha secured a Start Up Loan to support the launch of her eco-friendly skincare business.

Start Up Loans were hugely helpful and was there to guide me through my application. Receiving business support is vital for many SMEs, and it has helped my start-up develop into a successful and sustainable business.

As an ambassador for sustainability-led beauty products, Ayesha recognised that her consumers aspire towards an ethically led lifestyle without having to compromise on quality or principles.

Beekeeper in a garden with bees

Honey Corn's eco-friendly ethos and natural skincare products have piqued the interest of airline amenities provider, Spiriant as part of their commitment to broker sustainable partnerships.

The exclusive, gender-neutral skincare kit is not only high in the skies but in anti-bacterial properties, vitamins and minerals, supporting its consumers aspiring to a positive lifestyle, which should not end when they board a plane.

As passengers look for more ways to off-set their carbon footprint, Honey Corn provides a unique opportunity not only to achieve a radiant in-flight complexion with their cruelty-free products but also to support the bee population via the Bee A Keeper campaign.

As a rising Global Citizen brand, the innovative campaign works to protect the creatures vital to our fragile eco-system by supporting aviaries and investing in an ever-growing network of beekeepers across third world countries.

Closer to Honey Corn’s home in the UK, their mission is to help sow the seeds of wildflowers. So, they urge customers to plant Betony, Cornflower, Lesser Knapweed, Marjoram, Red Clover, Vetch, Foxglove & Borage seeds (bees are huge fans!) to support our environment.

Why is honey so good for us?

You might be wondering why people are buzzed at the concept of honey-infused skincare products. For around 2,700 years honey has been used as a natural treatment for many skin conditions widely known for its anti-bacterial properties, used largely for cleaning wounds in the second world war.

Bee flying in the air

After the invention of penicillin and other antibiotics drugs in the twentieth century, honey is now less used for injuries and instead as a rejuvenating and nourishing skin treatment.

Minimising breakouts and looking after your skin might not feel important during a pandemic (understandably so) but making sure your skin is properly hydrated may be a welcomed distraction from the news and leave you feeling refreshed!

Instead of finding any face mask around the house, Honey Corn's plant-powered, revitalising skincare range just might become your best friend during the lockdown.

From nutrient-rich cleansers and toners to anti-ageing products, there is something for everyone. There’s no time like the present to support independent companies like Honey Corn and your skin will thank you for it.
